GOD'S VOMIT

My dear Christian friend, are you part of God's vomit? This question uses extremely strong language to address an extremely repulsive condition that exits within much of Christendom in these last days of apostasy. Sad to say that the situation is much more repulsive to God than to most Christians. Indeed, most Christians don't even suspect that they make God sick to His stomach.

Are you offended by this so far? Well, better to be offended now and awakened to the truth and repent, than to suffer the consequences of being one of many Christians who make Jesus Christ want to vomit.

So, who are all these Christians who make the Lord sick? They are the ones who are lukewarm about Christ and serving Him like the Christians in the church in Laodicea that Jesus sharply rebuked. He told them that unless they repented He was going to vomit (Greek word emeo) them out of His mouth! (Rev. 3:16).

What was it that made these Christians so sickening to the Lord? The same things that make Him sick today. They had plenty of money and felt that they had need of nothing. After all, when you have plenty of money who needs God? Right? When Jesus said to pray for our daily food, and we continuously have a month's supply in the pantry and freezer, who needs God? When you have a pocket full of credit cards and a line of credit at the bank who needs God?

If you are part of God's vomit then you are like God's people of long ago---"These people come near Me with their mouth and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. Their worship of Me is made up only of rules taught by men" (Isaiah 29:13). They sing songs to the Lord that they really don't mean. "All to Jesus, I surrender, I surrender all." "Lord, lift me up on higher ground." I worship you, Lord, I worship you." Singing lies to God is still lying! (Please see article titled It's Time To Come Out of The Churches).

Jesus said to the Christians at Laodicea, "You do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked. These are strong and offensive words from our Lord to those Christians. Jesus said He was about to vomit them out of His mouth.

Jesus warned all Christians in John 15:4, "Remain in Me, and I will remain in you." Are you going to remain in Jesus or is He going to vomit you out? Jesus said that if you disown Him He will disown you (Mt. 10:33). He said, "If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned" (John 15:6). If you are vomited out then you will be thrown into the Lake of Fire on the Day of Judgment.

The Christians in Laodicea were lukewarm. They were neither hot nor cold. They were comfortable and liked things the way they were. Doubtless, they went to "church" every Lord's Day and maybe to a mid-week service. Most Christians today do the same thing and hardly see the inside of their Bible any other time. They do not have a daily quiet time of prayer and reading God's Word. They do not love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. They are lukewarm. In short, they make Jesus want to vomit.

You say, "Well, Jesus said He would never leave me nor forsake me." Yes, He did say that. But the question to ask is, "Will you forsake Him?" Have you already become lukewarm and forsaken Jesus? Jesus said if you disown Him He will disown you (Mat. 10:33).

Perhaps you are in a church like the one in Ephesus during the apostle John's time. They worked hard, they persevered, they could not tolerate wicked men, they discerned false apostles, they endured hardships for Jesus' name, and they had not grown weary. Pretty good bunch of Christians, huh? No! Jesus said to them to repent! They had left their first love! They were going through the motions. They were giving lip service to God. They came near to Jesus with their mouth, and honored Him with their lips, but their hearts were far from Him. Jesus said, "Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent!" "You have forsaken your first love!" "Unless you repent I will remove your lampstand." Jesus said, "To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God." (Rev. 2:1-7).

Read the articles in this website on Television, Christmas, Amusements, Counting The Cost, Deceitfulness of Riches, Persecution and Martyrdom, and others to see if you are lukewarm. Read them to see if you have left your first love.

If you are lukewarm and have left your first love, are you going to repent or are you going to be vomited out of Jesus?
